I'm Omolewa Carmichael-Clark, a 20-year-old queer Black non-binary creative, born in Oakland, raised in Atlanta, and now rooted in NYC since the age of 10. For the last five years, I've been dedicated to telling stories through my work—developing my own concepts, styling, and photographing the people I admire. My creative expression has always been a powerful tool for me, with a focus on exploring queer and Black communication. As a model, stylist, and photographer, I use my skills to bring these stories to life, both in front of and behind the camera.
One of my primary focuses is intimacy and how it shapes our communication, especially as more people embrace queerness. I'm fascinated by the nuances of how we connect with one another, and my work often centers around these themes.
Currently, I'm Attending Parsons School of design for photography a I also just completed The Bridge Program, where I worked on my thesis, "Almost 20," exploring my love for photography. My long-term goal is to become a creative director for fashion brands and magazines, using my storytelling to explore and celebrate the complexities of queerness and Blackness.
